Following the acquisition of Cobra Braiding Machinery by USA based Wardwell Braiding Company in November 2023, the companies will be exhibiting alongside one another for the first time at this year’s Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo in Milwaukee.

John Tomaz, VP at Wardwell, and Neil Hyde of Cobra will both be in attendance at the expo in May, showcasing the market leading wire harness and wire cable braiding equipment.

Cobra and Wardwell have both exhibited at the Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo for over a decade..

The Expo will be the first time since the acquisition that Wardwell and Cobra will be united in their presence, with both brands strengthening the others positioning and product offering, building a dominant force in the global wire harness braiding market.

Wardwell is a member of the Wilms Group, which includes other major equipment manufacturers around the world such as SKET, Henrich and Spirka-Schnellflechter. Wardwell Braiding’s machine offerings will now include the entire Cobra line, highlighted by the leading, industry-recognized Cobra 450, according to John Tomaz. “We see the Cobra line, when joined with ours, creating a positive synergy in sales and marketing for us on a global scale.”

Cobra services a wide range of industries from construction, mining and agricultural equipment to defence vehicles, marine engines and aerospace. In 2021 the company won the prestigious Queens Award for Enterprise for International Trade, which is a testament to the growth in export sales over the years, with around 90% of products exported across the world.

Over 90% of Cobra products are exported worldwide, with the USA a key target market, making the Expo a significant date in the calendar for connecting with existing customers and further penetrating the market.
